(Miami, FL) - Federal sentencing for the Alexander brothers in New York is set for mid-August and then they will face rape charges in Miami.

The state is continuing all but one of its sexual assault cases against the high-profile Miami twins Alon and Oren Alexander who were convicted of sex trafficking in New York federal court. Prosecutor Natalie Snyder says two of the three victims still want to go to trial, but one believes justice was served in federal court and has dropped her case.

The infamous Alexander brothers face up to life in prison when sentenced in their federal sex trafficking trial in August. Today, their attorneys were in Miami court for a status hearing and had no objection to the state's offer to drop one of the cases in Miami as the victim is pleased with the federal outcome.

Once the twins are sentenced in New York, they are due back in Miami court on August 21st to face the remaining three sex assault cases brought by the remaining two alleged victims against them.

They maintain their innocence.
