Man Shoots Family Dog In Face After Being Confronted About Infidelity

Lehigh Acres, FL - A Southwest Florida man is facing animal cruelty charges after allegedly shooting his dog in the face during a domestic dispute regarding infidelity.

According to Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno, 41-year-old Farhad Deihim was arrested after allegedly threatening to shoot everyone inside a Lehigh Acres residence, including two children, after being confronted about infidelity.

The situation escalated when Deihim shot the family's dog, an American pit bull terrier, in the face.

Investigators say Monday's shooting was caught on camera.

According to authorities, the dog survived the shooting and is currently recovering at the Lee County Domestic Animal Shelter.

Deihim was arrested on charges of aggravated animal cruelty.
