Testimony Underway In Day 4 Of Travis Rudolph's Murder Trial

In the first degree murder trial of former FSU football star Travis Rudolph, a defense attorney has been grilling one of four men whom Rudolph claims showed up at his Palm Beach County home to kill him back in 2021.

The short-time NFL player is accused of shooting at the men, killing one of them.

Tyler Robinson was also shot, but survived. He testified Tuesday about text messages between Rudolph's girlfriend and her brother.

Attorney Marc Shiner: "Keshaun texted to you and to Dominque that Travis is a dead man walking. You agree with that here today, right?"

"Robinson: "I agree."

But Robinson claims that text and one from the girlfriend telling her brother to shoot Rudolph were "empty threats."

Robinson says he had a gun in his pocket but never took it out.

Rudolph is claiming self defense and faces life in prison.

The four men showed up to confront Rudolph at his home in Lake Park after a fight he had with his girlfriend, Dominque Jones. She claimed the defendant threw her onto the ground after she became upset that he was cheating on her.

Rudolph, who practiced with the Miami Dolphins for a short time in his two year NFL career, is expected to testify on his own behalf during the trial.
