Florida Expanding Addiction Treatment

Governor Ron DeSantis says the state is expanding Coordinated Opioid Recovery, or CORE, a network of care that's helped break the cycle of addiction for many in Palm Beach County to 12 other counties across the state including Brevard, Duval and Volusia.

DeSantis says the three-pronged approach is focused on rescue response, stabilization & assessment and long-term treatment.

So far this year, almost 2-thousand fatal overdoses have been reported in Florida according to DeSantis.
