Miami-Dade School Board Discusses How Best To Spend Stimulus Check

Nearly 1-point-1-billion in new federal stimulus funding expected to come to Miami-Dade Public Schools, and the district vows to do a better job spending this money than it did with prior pandemic aid. Superintendent Alberto Carvalho wants to use input from teachers, staffers and the community. Carvalho's goal is to have 100-percent of students in-person learning this upcoming academic year. He's reconvened his public health task force of medical experts to see how best to do that without mandating the COVID-19 vaccine for staff or students.
