Curfew Could Be Coming To Key West

The keys to the bars in Key West may soon have to be turned in when the clock strikes midnight. An emergency meeting is on tap for City Commissioners weighing in on a midnight-to-7-a.m. curfew with the recent rise of COVID-19 cases. The total known cases in the Keys is about 25-hundred with 12-hundred coming from Key West. Vice Mayor Sam Kaufman blames the recent spike on the all night Halloween parties. He says they want to keep the numbers down ahead of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Miami-Dade has a curfew from midnight until 6 a.m.
