A death investigation is underway along a major Florida highway.
The Florida Highway Patrol was notified by a driver who had car trouble and pulled the vehicle over to the shoulder of I-95 in St. Lucie County Tuesday morning. That's when the motorist discovered a woman's body.
The gruesome find is near mile marker 127, just north of Midway Road in Fort Pierce.
No details on how the victim died or her identity.
The St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office has taken over the investigation.
