U.S.A. Today is out with its 10 Best wildlife parks and Florida is home to one.
Lion Country Safari, west of Palm Beach, is home to Florida's first drive-through safari featuring more than a thousand animals, including several lions and the largest herd of zebra in the western hemisphere.
It's also ranked among the top 10 safari parks in the country as voted on by readers of U.S.A. Today.
It was selected as a top 20 by experts in the zoo and travel field and went head to head with the others.
Lion Country Safari is the 9th best and the only park in Florida to crack the top 10, beating out both Busch Gardens Tampa and Disney's Animal Kingdom.
