BONITA SPRINGS, FL -- Governor Ron DeSantis has signed several bills aimed at improving health care and increasing the size of Florida's health workforce.
The bills expand training programs, offer loans to encourage health business innovations, and create new teaching hospitals in the behavorial health field.
DeSantis hopes the bills will make it easier to institutionalize individuals with serious mental health problems.
The bills are part of the "Live Healthy" package sponsored by Senate President Kathleen Passidomo.
