There might soon be a U.S. economic deal with Cuba, according to USA Today, which cites sources with knowledge of the Trump administration's plans.

"Trump’s strategy is different in that it involves coercion and comes at a time when Cuba is struggling to survive," cites USA Today.

Trump said this at the "Shield of the Americas" Summit in Doral on March 7: "As we achieved a historic transformation in Venezuela, we’re also looking forward to the great change that will soon be coming to Cuba," he said. "Cuba is in its last moment of life as it was."

This comes after President Trump told CNN on Friday that Cuba "is gonna fall pretty soon."

Trump also said the country "wants to make a deal so badly," adding that he plans to send Secretary Rubio to Cuba.
