Venezuela's Former Dictator May Have More Legal Trouble Ahead

The legal buck may not stop with the federal case against the former Venezuelan President. Governor Ron DeSantis says he's looking at filing state charges against Nicholas Maduro for reportedly releasing Tren de Aragua gang members from prison in Venezuela and sending them here along with illegal drugs. DeSantis says there's no risk of double jeopardy because the state and feds are separate sovereignties. This wouldn't be the first time this has happened, the state filed charges against convicted Trump assassin Ryan Routh after the Department of Justice did.
