Davenport, FL - A Davenport woman was arrested after allegedly boarding a school bus and shouting at a student and bus driver, delaying the route for nearly an hour.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, deputies identified the suspect as 48-year-old Latanya Rowe, who allegedly confronted a student involved in an earlier fight with her children.
Authorities said the incident stemmed from an October 24th altercation between the victim and Rowe’s son and daughter.

Witnesses told investigators that Rowe’s children had been bullying the victim and using racial slurs in the week leading up to the fight.
Deputies said the confrontation turned physical when Rowe’s children struck the student, who fought back before another student separated them.
On Monday morning, Rowe allegedly boarded the bus as it stopped to pick up students and began yelling profanities and accusations at the victim and the driver.
A student recorded the encounter, showing Rowe standing over the victim and shouting.
The bus was delayed until Rowe left after the driver informed her that law enforcement was being contacted.
Deputies later found Rowe at Davenport High School, where she was reportedly yelling at school employees.
When deputies tried to arrest her, she allegedly resisted.
Her daughter, who was nearby, was also arrested after refusing to comply with deputies and violating Florida’s Halo Law, which establishes a 25-foot buffer zone around law enforcement officers performing their duties.
Rowe faces charges of disrupting a school function, trespassing on school property, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.
