Tampa, FL - A Tampa man was arrested Wednesday morning following a series of vehicle crashes and a shooting near the westbound exit of the Selmon Expressway onto East Kennedy Boulevard.
The incident began around 8:05 a.m. when Tampa police responded to reports of a traffic crash involving several vehicles.
Authorities identified the driver of a 2010 gray Mazda 3 as 29-year-old Kevin Arriola.
Police say Arriola was allegedly driving erratically along the exit ramp before striking multiple cars.
Witnesses reported that after the crash, Arriola exited his vehicle and allegedly fired a handgun toward a 2017 red Chrysler 300.

Reggie Gittens, one of the drivers involved, described seeing Arriola leave his car with a gun and shoot at another vehicle nearby.
A red sedan parked near the scene was struck multiple times, leaving bullet holes in its windshield.
The driver of that vehicle reported being shaken but was unharmed.
Deputies from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, who were near the courthouse, heard the gunfire and responded immediately.
Officers located Arriola a short distance from the scene, used a taser to subdue him, and took him into custody.
Tampa Police Chief Lee Bercaw said the quick response of law enforcement prevented serious injuries.
No one was physically injured in the crashes or the shooting.
Arriola was charged with first-degree attempted murder, aggravated battery with a firearm, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and shooting at or into a vehicle.
The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to gather details.
