Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd likes to say, "you can't make this stuff up." And maybe you don't want to ask too many questions about some of the details of this one.
51-year-old Walter Frymeer is recovering after his arrest on trespassing and drug charges----and more to the point----his subsequent surgery after deputies ran him through a body scan when he was booked into the jail. Sheriff Grady Judd says, "He brought a thermos into the jail. That's right, He put it up the exit ramp, You know what I mean? A thermos about this size, " the sheriff said while holding his hands about 12 inches apart.
Judd says deputies actually saved Frymeer's life by getting him to the hospital and into surgery quickly. But the sheriff does say it was quite an ordeal.
