Miami, FL - Sunny’s Steakhouse in Miami has been named one of the top 15 restaurants in the U.S. by Food & Wine, highlighting its rapid rise from a pandemic pop-up to a nationally acclaimed dining destination.
Sunny’s Steakhouse, located in Miami’s Little River neighborhood, was recently named one of the top 15 restaurants in the United States by Food & Wine magazine.
The honor comes less than a year after the restaurant opened its permanent location in October 2024.
The concept originally debuted in the summer of 2020 under the name Sunny’s Someday Steakhouse, operating as an outdoor-only dining experience.
The team behind Sunny’s previously operated the critically acclaimed Jaguar Sun, a downtown Miami bar and restaurant known for its craft cocktails and house-made pasta, which closed in 2024 after six years.
Sunny’s now offers a full-service experience with both indoor and outdoor seating.
Guests can dine beneath a sprawling banyan tree on the terrace, lit by hanging string lights, or inside in a space styled with deep red booths, crisp white linens, and vintage-inspired wallpaper evoking an old-world charm.
The menu highlights a variety of steaks—from USDA Prime cuts to wagyu—as well as house-made pastas, raw bar selections, and seasonal seafood dishes.
The combination of laid-back elegance and thoughtful cuisine has quickly drawn praise from locals and national critics alike.
Earning a spot on Food & Wine’s prestigious list places Sunny’s among the best culinary destinations in the country, cementing its reputation as one of Miami’s most exciting new restaurants.
