A Boynton Beach woman is charged with making a living off of prostitution. 42-year old Lajuana Tee Owens is accused of posting around 1,300 commercial sex ads for the past three to four years in Palm Beach and Broward counties.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office says she rented a room at a motel in Lake Worth Beach where johns would have sex with a prostitute.
The manager of the Congress Motel News says she doesn't always know who is renting rooms.
"I don't know how to identify them. I cannot tell because you know, I don't have a clue myself. I wish I did have a magic ball that I can tell who is and who's not. When I see somebody that is not (garbled), that is going to give me problems, you know like drug addicts or prostitutions or stuff like that, I try not to rent the rooms. I tell them I don't have no vacancies."
But CBS 12 News reports a sign at the business lists rooms by the half hour and hour for as low as 25 dollars.
Deputies say the investigation continues.
