Miami, FL - The Little Lighthouse Foundation brought holiday joy to thousands of South Florida families in need during its 15th Annual Holiday Toy Distribution event.
The event, held on Saturday, provided 6,000 toys to children and families, with plans to distribute a record 30,000 gifts this holiday season.
Faith Snyder, a young girl with five siblings, expressed gratitude for the event, which allowed her and her family to pick three gifts each.
“They already have to spend money for the rent and bills,” Snyder said.
“This just takes something off our chest.”
Snyder’s brothers had a hard time deciding, showcasing the joy and excitement the event brought to the children.
More than 400 volunteers made the event possible, including students from Palmetto Middle School.
One of the students, Paris Sandler, said, “It’s very fun and it makes me feel happy.”
Volunteers like Caroline Malloy from the Little Lighthouse Foundation highlighted the importance of the event, stating, “Seeing them today get the joyful smiles of all the toys they get to choose from—it’s just the most amazing experience in the world.”
The Little Lighthouse Foundation is on track to give away more gifts than ever this year, providing much-needed relief to families struggling with the financial burden of the holiday season.
The toy drive not only ensures that children have presents to unwrap this Christmas but also brings smiles and a sense of community to South Florida families in need.
