Florida Man Arrested After Woman Discovers Tracking Device on Van

Flagler County, FL - A Flagler County woman discovered a tracking device on her van after a fight with her roommate, leading to his arrest for cyberstalking.

According to the Flagler County Sheriff's Office, Michael Noel, 46, was charged with cyberstalking after the woman discovered a tracking device hidden underneath her van.

The incident unfolded on Wednesday after a reported disagreement between Noel and the woman, who had been living together but claim they were never romantically involved.

Following an argument, Noel reportedly asked the woman to leave their shared residence.

After arriving at her father's house, the woman discovered the blue-and-black tracking device and immediately destroyed it.

The woman told deputies she suspected Noel had been tracking her movements for about a year, citing instances where he would know her whereabouts without explanation.

Finding the device seemed to confirm her suspicions.

Text message exchanges between the two, obtained by deputies, showed a tense conversation after the woman confronted Noel about the tracker.

While Noel appeared dismissive, the woman maintained her innocence and asserted her intention to move out by the end of the month.

Adding to the suspicion, Noel reportedly claimed he had a financial agreement with the woman regarding the tracker, but could not provide any documentation.

The woman also denied ever signing such an agreement.

With no explanation beyond the alleged financial agreement, Noel was arrested for cyberstalking and transported to Flagler County Jail.

He was later released after posting a $1,000 bond.
