Man Arrested After Attempted Lobster Larceny at Florida Walmart

Nassau County, FL - A Jacksonville man was arrested earlier this month for shoplifting steak, lobster, and crab legs from a Florida Walmart.

According to the Nassau County Sheriff's Office, 46-year-old Carrem Griffin was arrested after allegedly stealing the meat and seafood from a Walmart on SR-200 in Yulee.

Authorities say that on April 3rd, Griffin allegedly stole nine lobster tails, four ribeye steaks, two packs of crab legs, and a rotisserie chicken, all stashed in a stolen duffel bag.

Three days later, Griffin reportedly returned to the same Walmart, however, deputies were waiting and arrested him.

The Sheriff's Office did not explain Griffin's motivations.

There’s no word on whether the stolen merchandise was recovered.
