TAMPA -- The Florida State Fair opens Thursday (8th), at the Fairgrounds, I-4 and US 301.
This year's fair includes the return of fireworks for the first time since 2015. Fireworks shows will happen at 8:00 p.m. on Friday (9th), Saturday (10th), Saturday (17th) and Sunday (18th).
On-site entertainment includes a performance by Tigirlily Gold, a country-pop duo of two sisters, Saturday (11th) at 7:00 p.m. Almost a dozen other musical acts will perform on stage or around the fairgrounds.
Of course there's no shortage of fried fair food and agricultural exhibits. The fair runs through President's Day (February 19th).
As in recent years, minors under 18 visiting after 6 p.m. will be required to be escorted by an adult over 21, who may accompany up to four minors.
