Israel-Hamas Ceasefire Extended By Two Days

The temporary ceasefire between Israel and Hamas has been extended for two days. The original four-day agreement was set to expire at 11:59 PM Eastern, which is 7 a.m. Tuesday local time.

Hamas has released 58 hostages as part of the deal while Israel has freed 117 Palestinian prisoners in exchange.

The truce agreement allowed for it to be extended by one additional day for every ten hostages freed by Hamas.
