Minimum Wage Set To Go To $12-Dollars Saturday

Florida's minimum wage is reaching a new maximum. Starting Saturday, the minimum wage will increase from 11-to-12-dollars as required by a 2020 constitutional amendment that will gradually lead to a 15-dollar-an-hour minimum wage by September 30th 2026. After that, the increases will be inflation-linked. The minimum wage for tipped employees will go from 8-dollars-and-ninety-eight-cents an hour this year, as employers take what is known as a tip credit for 3-dollars-and-two-cents. The federal minimum wage is 7-dollars-and-twenty-five-cents-an hour.
