Federal Reserve Not Expected To Announce Rate Hike

The Federal Reserve expected to leave interest rates unchanged after raising rates consecutively eleven of the last twelve meetings. Bankrate's Greg McBride says this means the rates will hover between five-and-a-quarter and five-and-a-half percent. The current inflation rate is 3.67-percent, the FED's goal is to reach a 2-percent rate so more hikes could be coming. His advice is to continue paying down credit card debt and variable rate home equity lines of credit.
