The National Weather Service confirms an EF-0 tornado touched down in a South Miami Heights around Southwest 196th Street and traveled south along Southwest 147th Avenue until almost 200th Street for about 2 minutes. One driver was hurt. In Miami Gardens, trees and fences were knocked over --mailboxes found down the street from their respective homes.
Weather officials are determining whether that was a tornado or not.
Miami Gardens and Cooper City also reported nickel-sized hail.
