DUNDEE, FL -- Polk Sheriff Grady Judd says the body of a nine-year-old boy who fell off a pontoon boat was found Tuesday morning.
The discovery ended a nearly three-day search for the victim, a Port St. Lucie resident who was visiting with family.
Judd says deputies were on the scene around the clock after getting the call Saturday afternoon, assisted by fire rescue, the state Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and other agencies.
The sheriff says that Florida law didn't require a life jacket for the child.
Criminal charges are not expected.
