Transient living in woods arrested for photographing young children

Jensen Beach, FL - A Florida man's been arrested after allegedly taking photographs of young children at a mall and lifting the skirt of one of his victims.

Deputies with the Martin County Sheriff's Office arrested 27-year-old Pedro Yovannie Valdez on charges of video voyeurism.

Multiple witnesses told deputies that Valdez was taking pictures of kids at a mall and other shopping stores in Jensen Beach.

Valdez was identified by deputies while riding a skateboard on Jensen Beach Boulevard near Federal Highway.

The sheriff's office says "deputies questioned Valdez about photographing children, in which he admitted it was him. In one case, Valdez even lifted the skirt of a young girl and snapped photos of her undergarments before running off. Further investigation revealed that Valdez had multiple images of such material on his phone."

Deputies say Valdez has been living in the woods of Jensen Beach since moving to Florida from Utah.

Valdez is being held on $750,000 bond.
