UPDATE
St. Petersburg police now say Tyrone Blvd will be open to traffic shortly.
A three-alarm fire has heavily damaged a popular restaurant in St. Petersburg.
Fire Rescue crews arrived at the Tsunami Japanese Restaurant at around 6:15 am to find smoke pouring from the building. No injuries have been reported, but crews were unable to reach a section of the restaurant because of heavy smoke and fire. Smoke and flames were seen coming through the roof.
Tyrone Blvd. is closed in the area near 66th St. and 22nd Ave. North. Police say the closure is expected to be in effect for some time.
