FPL customers are set to see their rates go up by about 20-percent over the next five years, but Public Service Commission Chairman Gary F. Clark says the settlement gives Floridians some stability.
But Clark doesn't like the expansion of solar and electric vehicle programs which are coming at the expense of rate payers.
Base rates increasing by $692-million in January and $560-million in 2023, but that's $428-million less than originally proposed by FPL.
