Most Florida Bars Can Reopen At 50% Capacity Monday

Governor DeSantis gives the green light for Florida bars to open at 50-percent capacity Monday. But the mayors in Miami-Dade and Broward say it's a no go, because neither county is in Phase 2 yet. Broward Assistant Administrator Alan Cohen meets regularly with local bar owners and while they're not happy about it, they understand opening poses a community spread risk. Miami-Dade mayor Carlos Gimenez says bars and nightclubs will not likely reopen until there is a coronavirus vaccine.
