Masks, hand sanitizer, and social distancing will continue to be the norm now that flu season is colliding with the coronavirus pandemic.
Doctor Tim Hendrix with Advent Health Centra Care says COVID-19 infection numbers have been trending in the right direction, but he fears a spike over the Labor Day holiday. He says a coronavirus vaccine may not be ready until next year.
At Centra Care clinics throughout Central Florida, Hendrix says a few of his colleagues have already reported cases of both Influenza A and Influenza B. He says doctors are trying to determine which patients are suffering from flu, covid, and seasonal allergies, which are also peaking now.
Hendrix says people need to practice good hygiene and, above all, stay home if you are sick.
