Despite his arrest this week, Jupiter resident Carlos Gavidia is hosting another pro-Trump boat parade on Monday for Labor Day.
The Trumptilla, as these boat rallies have come to be known, will begin at 11 a.m. and run from Jupiter south to Mar-a-Lago.
Some members of the Trump family will be in attendance, including Donald Trump Jr. and his girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle, a member of the Trump 2020 team. Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi will join the parade and the event promises other VIPs yet to be named, along with an airshow featuring parachuters and jet fighters over the Jupiter Lighthouse.
Those who don't have a boat can stand along the side of the Intracoastal near Mar-a-Lago.
More Trumptillas will be happening around the state. Last month, organizers of a pro-Trump boat parade in Clearwater attempted to break a record with the Guiness Book of World Records.
Gavidia is out of jail after turning himself in to face a felony charge for an allegedly threatening text message to a neighbor at the Admirals Cove community. The judge ordered Gavidia to have no communication with the man and he can't be within 500 feet of Admirals Cove.
Gavidia's attorney says he has since moved. He says his client was harassed because of his support for President Trump. Jupiter police say the two had a confrontation about politics.
Gavidia has pleaded not guilty.
