Broward Parents For Full Return To School Rally In Ft. Lauderdale

Broward parents pushing for a full return to live classes in August are rallying outside of School Board headquarters this morning ahead of the full board meeting to discuss plans. Parents are peacefully pleading for the school board to reopen 5-days a week. Jennifer Herman-with the Facebook group "Broward Parents For The Return To School" says the kids need this type of option and normalcy after the spring shutdown. She says the 5-day a week model is also imperative for working parents. Broward Superintendent Robert Runcie announced a 50-percent reopening, but a majority of parents and students surveyed favored a full return. Miami-Dade is expected to announce it's reopening plan Wednesday.
