Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday are over, so now it's on to the next movement.
Giving Tuesday, now in its eighth year, is all about being generous after spending the past few days spending on goods and things.
Blackbaud.com Vice President of Corporate Citizenship and Philanthropy Rachel Hutchisson says, "It's really evolved by just seeing more and more people engaging whether they're giving money, they're sharing their voice, or they're serving, and we're seeing more and more countries around the world also participate."
On this day last year, GivingTuesday.org estimates $400-million were raised online in the U-S alone with more than 150 countries participating.
Hutchisson suggests donating time or money through organizations you're already engaged in and are familiar with their missions.
