Jury Picked, Opening Statements Starting In Super Bowl Triple Murder Trial

Opening statements are getting underway in the trial of a man accused in a Super Bowl Sunday triple-murder two years ago.

Christopher Vasata faces three counts of first degree murder for the deaths of 20-year old Kelli Doherty, 24-year old Brandi El-Salhy and 25-year old Sean Henry.

They were shot and killed while attending a Super Bowl party at a home in Jupiter in 2017.

Charles Vorpagel was renting the home where it happened and said several masked men stormed in, opening fire, though only Vasata and Marcus Steward face charges in the victims' deaths.

Vorpagel is serving prison time after police found drugs and guns inside the home.

Vasata faces the death penalty if convicted.

Jury selection wrapped up on Tuesday morning.
