Famed songwriter, record producer and performer Quincy Jones has died. The 28-time Grammy winner passed away yesterday at his home in Bel Air California. Quincy Jones was widely considered to be one of the most influential jazz artists of the 20th century and produced for many other artists -- most notably Michael Jackson -- including a collaboration with Michael and Lionel Richie on the 1985 charity single We Are the World. He later produced the movie The Color Purple and the TV series The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Jones was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2013. Quincy Jones was 91.

Starbucks has unveiled its new holiday cup collection. The holiday cup theme this year is "Merrier Together." The collection includes four hot cups and one cold cup. The cup names are Warm Wishes, Joyful Connection, Lyrical Landscape, Siren Chorus and the Holiday Cold Cup.

Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas" is now thirty years old. The self-proclaimed "Queen of Christmas" traditionally kicks off the holiday season with the monster hit which first launched in 1994. It landed at Number One in 2019, jingling its way to the top spot in 26 countries worldwide, also achieving Billboard's ranking as "Greatest of All Time Holiday Song" Carey's annual holiday trek begins November 6th with stops in 20 cities across the US like LA, Phoenix, Houston, Boston and more, wrapping up December 17th in New York City.

"Venom: The Last Dance" is hanging on to the top spot at the box office. The third installment in Sony's superhero trilogy earned an estimated 26-point-one-million dollars in its second weekend of release. Coming in second is "The Wild Robot" followed by "Smile 2" and "Conclave". The new Tom Hanks-led drama "Here" finished fifth in a big misfire, only netting an estimated five-million dollars in its debut weekend.

The first trailer for "Squid Game 2" is out now. The second season of the record-breaking Netflix show takes place three years after the first. It finds Player 456 giving up on going to the States and returning to the deadly competition. The show's executive producer has said Squid Game will end with a third season that will premiere sometime next year. "Squid Game 2" will hit Netflix on December 26th.

And, finally, Forbes is out with its list of the highest paid dead celebrities of 2024. The list shows how much money celebrities are making this year even though they've passed on. Michael Jackson tops the list after making 600-million dollars this year from the Michael Jackson Musical that's been touring all over the world. Freddie Mercury comes in at number two, having made 250-million dollars this year. Number three is Dr. Seuss, who made 75-million dollars in 2024. Rounding out the top five are Elvis Presley, who made another 50-million dollars this year, and Ric Ocasek, songwriter for The Cars, who made 45-million dollars.
