A horror sequel is scaring its way to the top of the box office. "Smile 2" brought in 23-million dollars in its opening weekend. Universal and DreamWorks' "The Wild Robot" is clinging to second place in its fourth weekend of release has crossed the 100-million-dollar domestic mark. Last weekend's box office champion, "Terrifier 3," fell to third and "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" held on to a spot in the top five in its seventh weekend of release.
Jelly Roll is taking a break from X, calling the site formerly known as Twitter the most toxic negative app to exist ever. The singer posted his thoughts on X Sunday, saying it's just a safe space for people to express vitriol. Jelly Roll said he's done with the platform for his mental health.

What is the "most welcoming" city in the U.S? The survey by the company LuvLink asked three-thousand travelers where "they encountered the most warm-hearted and welcoming locals." Number-one: Savannah, Georgia. The South dominated the top five with Jackson, Mississippi in second, followed by Murfreesboro, Tennessee; Port Saint Lucie here in Florida; and Richmond, Virginia.
The 2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction ceremony is in the books and the theme may have been "long overdue inductions." The event was held Saturday night at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland. This year's Hall of Fame class included first-time nominees Cher, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Kool and the Gang and Ozzy Osbourne, along with Mary J. Blige, Dave Matthews Band and A Tribe Called Quest. In her acceptance speech, Cher said "It was easier getting divorced from two men than it was getting into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame." The Who's Roger Daltrey said in his presentation for Frampton he was "astonished" he wasn't inducted "35 years ago." Foreigner's induction comes a year after the dismissal of a Hall of Fame board member who the band said had a "vendetta" against them.
Tiger King Joe Exotic is in a Fort Worth, Texas, prison--suffering from scabies. That's according to the former zookeeper's legal team, who say he's been quarantined after being infected with the contagious skin condition. Exotic's real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage, and most know him from the hit documentary series "Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness" released by Netflix in 2020. He is serving a 21-year sentence for trying to hire someone to kill rival big-cat zookeeper Carole Baskin.
With the presidential election just over two weeks away, parallels are being drawn between one of the candidates and a character on a 1950s TV series. In 1958, CBS aired an episode of the show "Trackdown," in which a conman tries to convince the people of a small town that only he can save them--by building a wall. The conman's name: Trump.
