Taylor Swift is donating five-million dollars to help communities that are struggling due to Hurricanes Helene and Milton. The nonprofit Feeding America announced the singer's contribution on Wednesday, saying the funds will help provide essential food, clean water and other supplies.
Wendy's is bringing the Krabby Patty from the cartoon SpongeBob SquarePants to life with a promotion tied to the show's 25th anniversary. The hamburger giant introduced their new "Krabby Patty Kollab" meals at locations nationwide earlier this week. They include a quarter-pound burger with two slices of American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, and a "top-secret Krabby Kollab" sauce. The offering also features a "Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty," which is a vanilla Frosty swirled with pineapple-mango puree.
Gene Simmons of KISS is being slammed on X for his actions as a guest judge on "Dancing With the Stars." On Tuesday, Simmons made comments about the physical appearance of one of the contestants telling NFL Player Danny Amendola that he was standing next to "one of the more beautiful women on the planet," while cameras panned to Whitney Carson. He also shared his thoughts on another contestant, Chandler Kinney, saying she fogged up his glasses. One X user said "Simmons is seriously sucking all the energy out of the ballroom," while another said they think the KISS rocker was scoring the dancers based on how attractive he thinks the woman is. "Dancing With The Stars" airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC and Disney Plus.
The Doors are celebrating their 60th anniversary with a career-spanning box set. The collection will be a six-album audiophile vinyl package with all of the band's studio albums . It's titled "The Doors 1967-to-1971" and there will only be three-thousand copies available when it's released on November 22. On top of that, they're also releasing an anthology called "Night Divides The Day," which is available to pre-order and will ship in 2025.
It seems that robots can keep toddlers active. Researchers at Oregon State University put toddlers in a room with a basic robot that actually looks more like a modified roomba vacuum than a human. It can throw balls and blow bubbles. Kids were much more active when the robot was operating in a way that kept them involved. Researchers say the goal is not to replace caregivers with robots, but to give them a tool that can engage with children. It could also be used with older adults.

Nintendo is revealing a new piece of hardware to its line up. The video game giant is unveiling an alarm clock called "Alarmo" that plays video game music and sound effects.
Nintendo says Alarmo can also play more relaxing sounds to help you doze off and features sleep tracking technology. The new product goes for around 100-bucks and drops early next year. However, Nintendo Switch Online members can buy it now.
