The man known as the "Worst Boyfriend in Manhattan" is going to prison. Nelson Counne has beensentenced to four to eight years in prison for scamming five women out of nearly two-million dollars. DA Alvin Bragg says says the 71-year-old pretended to be a wealthy art dealer and investor when he preyed on older, rich women on online dating apps. Counne, who often went by fake names, convinced his victims to invest in phony investment opportunities as they fell for him.

The 2025 Hollywood Walk of Fame class has been announced. The list of folks in line to get a star includes a number of musical acts, such as the Isley Brothers, the B-52s, Prince, Keith Urban, Green Day and Depeche Mode. The motion picture nominees include filmmaker John Carpenter and actress Jane Fonda. On the TV side, it's the likes of Molly Shannon, Bill Nye, and Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the men behind "South Park."

Production is underway on "Freaky Friday 2." Disney has posted a clip on social media of Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan on the set of the sequel to the 2003 body-swap comedy. The studio also confirmed the movie will be released to theaters next year, rather than premiering on Disney-Plus. The original "Freaky Friday" brought in 160-million dollars at the worldwide box office.

For once, damage to a statue in the nation's capitol is not being blamed on protesters, vandals or activists. This time, the finger is being pointed at the region's sweltering temperatures. A wax sculpture of a seated President Abraham Lincoln outside of Garrison Elementary in Northwest Washington DC began to melt in the heatwave and has lost its head as a result. School leaders have taken the head to an artist for repairs and hope to have it reattached in the coming weeks.
