Law Enforcement continues to battle an old- deadly- nemesis-- distracted driving. 233 people were killed by distracted drivers in Florida in 2018.
"Texting, you know, we have putting on makeup, reaching behind into the backseat to comfort a child, tuning the radio, eating," Capt. Tom Pikul of the Florida Highway Patrol says.
"Checking your phone's navigation. There are so many distractions because our cars are so advanced now."
Capt. Pikul (Pike-ul) says more than 36,000 crashes were caused last year by inattentive driving.
April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month..
