His opponents are taking aim at Governor Rick Scott now that he's entering the race for the U-S Senate.
Democrats say he's more concerned about his fellow 1 percenters than the middle class.
Environmentalists claim he's been a disaster.
And Brandon Wolf of Tallahassee... who survived the massacre at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando... says Scott is a best friend of the NRA, and seems devoid of empathy or human compassion.
"I think he's hoping that Floridians for some reason have amnesia, and can't remember the last eight years, which have seen him promote more gun-friendly policies than at any point in Florida history," he said.
Scott supported a change in gun laws after the massacre at Parkland but Wolf says that was an election year conversion and it wasn't much of a change.
