The Tampa Bay Rays (93-59) defeated the As (61-92) 10-1 on Thursday afternoon at Tropicana Field. With the win, the Rays are now a perfect 6-0 to start the final homestand of the 2026 regular season.
The Rays erupted with six runs in the fourth inning to take control of the game - they added two in the sixth and two in the eighth to turn the game into a blowout. Drew Rasmussen (15-5, 2.72) got the win after pitching five shutout innings in which he allowed ofur hits while striking out three and walking two.
The Rays now host the Boston Red Sox for the final home series of the regular season beginning on Friday night. Ian Seymour (9-6, 4.27) is scheduled to start for the Rays and face Ranger Suarez (7-4, 3.33) for the Red Sox.
