The Tampa Bay Rays (85-57) defeated the Texas Rangers (70-73) 6-3 in ten innings on Saturday night at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. With the win, the Rays have now won two in a row against the Rangers.
The Rays built leads of 2-0 after five and 3-1 in the middle of the eighth but the Rangers got two in the bottom of the eighth to tie the game 3-3 and force extra innings. In the tenth, Jonathan Aranda hit a three-run homer that made it 6-3, which would prove to be the final score.
The Rays will now try to win the four-game series in Texas when they face the Rangers in the finale on Sunday afternoon.
