Marlins Even Series With Rays In Extras

The Miami Marlins (21-25) defeated the Tampa Bay Rays (29-15) 10-5 in ten innings on Saturday evening. With the win, the Marlins snapped Tampa Bay's winning streak at Tropicana Field at eleven games.

This was a close game through nine innings and ended tied 2-2. In the tenth, the Marlins erupted for eight runs in the top of the tenth off Hunter Biggie (1-1, 5.94) to turn the game into a blowout. The Rays got three runs back in the bottom of the tenth to make it a 10-5 final score.

The Rays and Marlins now meet in the rubber game of the three game series on Sunday afternoon. First pitch Sunday is scheduled for 12:15 PM - Chris Adams-Wall begins pregame coverage with This Week in Rays Baseball at 10:30 AM on 95.7 WDAE & AM 620, your Home of Rays Baseball.
