Rays Open Homestand With Win Over Marlins

The Tampa Bay Rays (29-14) defeated the Miami Marlins (20-25) 7-2 on Friday night at Tropicana Field to open the six-game homestand with a win - it was also their eleventh consecutive win at home.

The Rays got two in the first, two in the second, two in the fourth and one in the sixth to lead the way. Yandy Diaz and Cedric Mullins both homered - for Mullins, he went 4-for-4 with three runs scored and one run driven in.

The Rays look to make it two in a row against Miami coming up on Saturday night. First pitch Saturday is scheduled for 4:10 PM - Chris Adams-Wall begins pregame coverage at 3:30 PM on 95.7 WDAE & AM 620, your Home of Rays Baseball.
