Police in Arkansas have released a photo of a person of interest in connection with the deaths of Clinton David Brink, 43, and Cristen Amanda Brink, 41, who were killed while hiking in Devil’s Den State Park on Saturday (July 26). The couple was attacked while hiking with their two daughters, who were unharmed and are now safe with family.

The Arkansas State Police (ASP) released the photo on Tuesday (July 29) to accompany a previously released composite sketch. The person of interest is described as a white male of medium build, wearing a long-sleeved shirt with rolled-up sleeves, dark pants, a dark baseball cap, sunglasses, and fingerless gloves. He was seen carrying a black backpack and may have sustained an injury during the attack. Witnesses reported seeing him leave the area in a black, four-door sedan, possibly a Mazda, with a license plate obscured by tape, traveling towards State Highway 170 or State Highway 220.

Authorities have not disclosed a motive or details on how the couple was killed. The Brink family had recently moved to Prairie Grove, Arkansas, from South Dakota, and Clinton Brink was set to start a new job as a milk delivery driver. The family has requested privacy as they grieve and urged anyone with information to contact the authorities.

The ASP has asked the public to review any photos, videos, or security footage taken at the park on the day of the incident. They have also requested that any potential evidence not be posted online but instead submitted directly to the agency. The FBI's Little Rock field office is assisting in the investigation. ASP Col. Mike Hagar expressed gratitude for the public's support and emphasized the commitment to bringing the suspect to justice.
