The Milwaukee Brewers (20-21) defeated the Tampa Bay Rays (18-22) 4-2 on Sunday afternoon at Steinbrenner Field. With the loss, the Rays were unable to complete the sweep in the three-game interleague series. For the second straight in a row, the game started in a rain delay as weather in Tampa forced the start time back 40 minutes.
The Rays scored first in this game when Jonathan Aranda drove in a run in the first to give Tampa Bay a 1-0 lead. Milwaukee got two in the fourth to take the lead, before the Rays answered with a run of their own in the bottom of the fourth. Milwaukee then added single runs in the fifth and eighth to make it 4-2.
The Rays are now off on Monday before going on the road for a six-game, two city road trip which begins Tuesday in Toronto. First pitch Tuesday is scheduled for 7:07 PM - pregame coverage begins with Ronnie Lane hosting the Inside Pitch at 6:00 PM on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620.
