The Atlanta Braves (4-10) defeated the Tampa Bay Rays (6-8) 5-4 on Saturday evening at Steinbrenner Field. With the win, the Rays and Braves are tied a game apiece with the rubber game coming up on Sunday.
The Rays built a 3-1 lead in the seventh inning thanks in part to a homer from Junior Caminero in the first, as well as a pair of RBIs from Jonathan Aranda. In the eighth inning Ozzie Albies and Sean Murphy both hit solo homers to tie the game 3-3 for Atlanta.
In the ninth, it was Michael Harris II with a two-run homer to give the Braves the lead 5-3. Jonathan Aranda hit a solo home run to pull the game within 5-4, but that would be as close as the Rays would get.
The Rays look to salvage the rubber game of the three-game series on Sunday afternoon. First pitch Sunday is scheduled for 1:40 PM - pregame coverage begins with Chris Adams-Wall hosting This Week In Rays Baseball at high noon on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620.
