Lightning Fall To Maple Leafs

The Toronto Maple Leafs (14-7-2) defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning (12-9-2) 5-3 on Saturday night at Amalie Arena.

The Lightning fell behind 4-0 before scoring three in the third period to make this a close game. The Maple Leafs were able to get an empty netter from William Nylander to clinch a 5-3 win for Toronto.

Victor Hedman had two assists to set the Tampa Bay assist record with 590, passing Lightning great Martin St. Louis, who had 588. Andrei Vasilevskiy made 24 saves in the losing effort.

The Lightning are next in action when they host the San Jose Sharks on Thursday night. Puck drop from Aamalie Arena is scheduled for 7:00 PM on Thursday evening.
