Rays Beat Angels In 13 Innings

The Tampa Bay Rays (10-8) beat the Los Angeles Angels (8-9) 7-6 in thirteen innings on Tuesday night at Tropicana Field. After two games, the Rays and Angels are tied 1-1 with two games to go in this series.

The Rays trailed 3-1 before scoring twice in the ninth inning to make it 3-3. After both teams traded runs in the tenth and eleventh, both teams held each other off the board in the twelfth.

In the thirteenth, the Angels scored a run in the top of the frame - in the bottom of the frame Richie Palacios tied the game with a RBI double. Amed Rosario then delivered the walk-off hit that gave Tampa Bay the win.

The Rays and Angles now meet in the third game of the four game series on Wednesday night. Zack Littell (1-0, 1.17) is scheduled to start for the Rays and face Reid Detmers (3-0, 1.04) for the Angels.
