Sumter County closing Hurricane Dorian evacuation shelters Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.
This includes the Sumter County Fairgrounds and the Wildwood Community Center. The decision follows the latest Hurricane Dorian weather briefing that predicts the winds impacting Sumter County will not be any greater than our normal summertime afternoon thunderstorms.
